Overview
This 10 day schedule of our classic lodge trek starts with a long climb to Ghorapani, and then drops into the World's deepest gorge.
The trek then crosses the main Himalayan range to Tibet-like country in the Jomson region of Nepal.
8 and 9 day versions of this trek are also available.

Itinerary
Day 1.
Arrive in Kathmandu.You will be met at the airport for your transfer to the hotel.
Day 2.
Drive to Pokhara by tourist coach. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 3.
Fly from Pokhara to Jomson along with your Guide. On reaching Jomson, commence walking the short distance down to the charming village of Marpha.Overnight will be in lodge accommodation.
Day 4.
Jomson to Pokhara - Follow the Kaligandaki river through fields and the interesting Buddhist Thakali villages of Tukuche, Larjung & Kalopani. Overnight at Ghasa by the deepest gorge in the World, the Kaligandaki Gorge !!
Day 5.
The trail today passes by the picturesque Rupsechhara waterfall, a rather stony route through Dana and finally reaches the hot spring village of Tatopani. We will make time to go down to the springs on the river for a hot bath. Tatopani's charming village boasts a number of small eating houses offering such exotic things as ... lemon meringue pies!!
Day 6.
This is a difficult day so we will take it easy. It's a long walk uphill through the neat Magar village of Sikha to Ghorepani. The village itself is set in a beautiful hollow of rhododendron trees.
Day 7.
Take an early morning (pre-breakfast) stroll up to Poon Hill for a marvellous view of Dhaulagiri and the western Annapurna's (weather permitting!) This is scheduled as a rest day at Ghorepani but if you feel like it, we can continue down the ridge to Ulleri - a Magar village at the top of a steep cliff. We then descend the cliff route to the village of Tikhedhunga from where we follow the Burungdi river past Hille, it's series of pools getting more and more picturesque as you finally enter Birethanti, a charming village on the trail, at the confluence with the Modi river. From Birethanti, we cross the river on the swing bridge for the drive back to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 8.
Drive by tourist coach back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9.
Free day in Kathmandu for last minute shopping or walk around. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10.
Departure transfer day. Free until departure transfer time.
