Rafting & Kayaking in Central Nepal

Overview

The gorge of the Trisuli – just 2.5 hrs from Kathmandu – embodies a blend of celestial vistas, varies wildlife as well as whitewater fun. Big bouncy waves, hefty holes and tricky chutes all go towards making an exhilarating ride to remember with a combination of Grade II+ and III+ rapids with some IV’s in the post-monsoon season… Rapids such as Snell’s Nose, Teen Devi, Ladies Delight, Upset and the aptly named Surprise rapid.

 

Duration: 1 to 6 Days

Grade: I to V, High Water III – IV

When to Visit: Late September to December & March to June

Rafting or kayaking trips on the Trisuli can be combined with other trips in and around Kathmandu, Pokhara, Annapurna & Royal Chitwan National Park.

 

Itinerary

RIVER DISTANCE: 40 kms.

The gorge of the Trisuli – just 2.5 hrs from Kathmandu – embodies a blend of celestial vistas, varies wildlife as well as whitewater fun. Big bouncy waves, hefty holes and tricky chutes all go towards making an exhilarating ride to remember with a combination of Grade II+ and III+ rapids with some IV’s in the post-monsoon season… Rapids such as Snell’s Nose, Teen Devi, Ladies Delight, Upset and the aptly named Surprise rapid.
On our overnight rafting schedule the evening’s campsite which nestles on the sandy banks of the river. We have dinner surrounded by the tranquil setting of the Trisuli valley. We sit by candlelight discussing experiences and playing ludicrous games. The next day the rafting ends with lunch before boarding our bus to Pokhara (approx 4hrs), Royal Chitwan Park (approx 2 hrs) or back to Kathmandu (approx 4hrs)
