Itinerary
Day 01.
Arrive in Kathmandu.
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport as per your flight schedule. One of our airport representatives will receive you and transfer you to your hotel where you will receive a briefing on immediate arrangements. B.
Day 02.
Kathmandu.
A full day sightseeing journey will enable you to explore not-to-miss UNESCO enlisted Cultural and Historical World Heritage Sites (Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath). B.
Day 03.
Kathmandu, Trek briefing
A full day exploring Kathmandu followed by a trek briefing. No matter how experienced a trekker, hiker or mountaineer you are you will always find it worthwhile to attend the briefing session to gain some pre-departure information on preferred areas, trail conditions, physical demands, tips and safety precautions, challenges that may occur during the trek, and local cultures, customs and taboos.
Day 04.
Fly to Nepalganj.
You will fly to Nepalganj early in the morning and stay overnight in hotel on full board basis. Nepalganj is located mid-western part of Terai.
Day 05.
Fly to Simikot and commence trek. (2910m).
You will take early morning flight to Simikot and commence trek to Simikot Lagna. Overnight stay in camp
Day 06.
Trek Simikot- Lagna-Shinjungma. (3600m)
We will start early morning trek to Shinjungma. Overnight stay in camp
Day 07.
Trek Shinjungma-Talung. (4380m)
Today we will trek to Talung from Shinjungma.
Overnight stay in camp
Day 08.
Trek Talung-Jang. (3930m)
Overnight stay in camp
Day 09.
Trek Jang-Tilchhu. (3700m)
We will trek to Tilchhu from Jang, overnight stay in camp.
Day 10.
Trek Tilchhu-Manepeme. (3860m)
We will trek to Manepeme, a beautiful village. Overnight stay in camp
Day 11.
Welcome to Tibet and drive to Taklakot. (3770m)
After crossing the Karnali suspension bridge, we will reach first village of Tibet called Sher where our land cruiser, supporting truck and Tibetan guide will be waiting for us. And then, from there, we will drive to Taklakot paying a visit to Khojarnath Gompa, which was built in the 10th century by a great Buddhist translator, Rinchen Zangbo. We will witness spectacular landscape, unmatched beauty of Gurlamandata (7694mtrs) and Darchula Himalayan range. After immigration formalities done by Chinese army, we will stay in basic guest house.
Day 12.
Drive to holy Manasarovar Lake. (4588m)
We will start our drive to holy Mansarovar Lake keeping picturesque Gurlamandata on the left. We will catch the first glimpse of Holy Mt. Kailash and famous Rakshas Lake as we approach to the Mansarovar Lake. B. L. D.
Day 13.
Exploration and rest day at holy Lake. (4588m)
Today will our day to explore around and take holy bath in the sacred lake. And then, take a rest as well.
Day 14.
Drive to Darchen. (4650m).
We will drive to Darchen via Chiu Gompa. The drive journey (46km) takes an hour and half to reach Darchen. It will also be our day to have a short hike to Gyang Dra Gompa towards south base of holy Mt.Kailash.
Day 15.
Kora starts. (4900m)
Trek to Drira Phug Gompa via Chaktsal gang, Tharboche and Chhuku Gompa. We will camp near the north face of Kailash, from where we can view symmetrical and most attractive face of Kailash.
Day 16.
Trek to Zutulphuk. (cross 5600mtrs Dolma Pass)
This is the day everybody talks about. This will be the hardest day of trek and will take 8 hours to scale the way. Despite the physical challenge, it will be our one of the most rewarding day as we will come across with glorious and magical view of holy Mt. Kailash. At the end of the day; we will camp near medicine Buddha in Lam Chu valley.
Day 17.
Kora ends at Darchen. (4650m):
After visiting Zutulphuk Gompa and Milerepa cave and trekking for 5 hours; eventually we will complete the kora near Darchen. And then, we will drive to Tirthapuri, another holiest place in West Tibet. We will perform short kora and take hot spring bath.
Day 18.
Drive to Tholing. (4500m)
We will drive to Tholing via Sutlej canyon. This was one of the most important and influential Buddhist centre in western Tibet. It was founded by Rinchen Zangbo.
Day 19.
Tholing and Tsaparang. (4500m)
Today we will explore around Tholing and Tsaparang, the ruined Guge kingdom.
Day 20.
Drive to Mansarovar. (4588m)
We will drive to holy Mansarovar Lake.
Day 21.
Drive to Paryang. (3860m)
Day 22.
Drive to Saga. (3770m)
Day 23.
Drive to Nylam. (3750m)
Day 24.
Drive to Kathmandu.
Free day, evening Culture Show and Farewell Dinner.
Day 25: Trip concludes.
