Overview
This high altitude and demanding trek starts in Beni, deep in the spectacular Kali Kandaki gorge. We follow the worlds deepest gorge for a few days before heading over high mountain passes and into Mustang. Mustang is an ancient Himalayan kingdom which was completely closed to foreign trekkers until 1991. The walled city of Lo Manthang houses some of the largest Tibetan Buddhist gompas in Nepal.

Itinerary
Day 1.
Arrive in Kathmandu
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport as per your flight schedule. One of our airport representatives will receive you and transfer you to your hotel where you will receive a briefing on immediate arrangements.
Day 2.
Kathmandu
A full day sightseeing journey will enable you to explore not-to-miss UNESCO enlisted Cultural and Historical World Heritage Sites (Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath).
Day 3.
Kathmandu
Half day sight seeing and Trek briefing and preparation: - No matter how experienced a trekker, hiker or mountaineer you are you will always find it worthwhile to attend the briefing session to gain some pre-departure information on preferred areas, trail conditions, physical demands, tips and safety precautions, challenges that may occur during the trek, and local cultures, customs and taboos.
Day 4.
Drive to Beni. (830m)
You will have a scenic drive to Beni via Pokhara then you will commence your trek to Tipling.
Day 5.
Beni to Tatopani. (1190m)
You will trek north along the bank of the Kali Gandaki to end the day at Tatopani 7 hours
Day 6.
Tatopani to Ghasa. (2010m)
Today you will be amazed with the grand view of Machhapuchhre or the ‘Fishtail’, Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna’s. 5-6 hours
Day 7.
Ghasa to Tukuche. (2590m)
The trail leads to the deepest gorge in the world, the Kali Gandaki Gorge. You will also be able to see the Dhaulagiri Glacier from Larjung. 4-5 hours
Day 8.
Tukuche to Jomsom. (2710m)
Your reward today will be to pass through typical Thakali villages and meet many local people. 4-5 hours
Day 9.
Jomsom to Kagbeni. (2800m)
Kagbeni is the gate to the Lomanthang and Muktinath. The tiny Tibetan-styled village is inhabited by people whose culture and tradition is akin to their Tibetan ancestors. This is the official start of the restricted area. 3-4 hours
Day 10.
Kagbeni to Chele. (3050m)
The trail follows the Kali Gandaki River you will discover ancient settlements along the trail with excellent views of Nilgiri and other high peaks in the Annapurna region.
Day 11.
Chele to Geling. (3570m)
A pleasant day’s trek passing through small Tibetan styled villages, meadow and alpine hills. Explore the Geling Monastery and local school.
Day 12.
Geling to Charang. (3570m)
Long trekking day; stopping at Ghami village for lunch and then onto cross the Charang La to reach the most beautiful Charang village.
Day 13.
Charang to Lo Manthang. (3809m)
The trail crosses the Chharang River and steadily climbs. After 4 to 5 hours trekking we reach the airy and dry land similar to Tibetan plateau. Crossing the pass we reach the mystical and forbidden Kingdom Lo-Manthang, the seat of Mustang’s nominal King. (The walled city of Mustang)
Day 14.
Explore Lo Manthang. (3890m)
Visit the ancient monasteries and walk in the medieval town of Lo Manthang. Meet with local peoples and audience with the king.
Day 15.
Excursions to Tsoser. (3850m)
Take a day hike to Tsoser to discover the ancient cave monastery and cave villages. Unforgettable and picturesque place to visit, remember your camera!
Day 16.
Lo Manthang to Drakmar. (3820m)
Trek to the ancient Loge-gha Monastery of Ningma-Pa sect; cross the highest pass on the trail to reach the Drakmar village situated below the red hill
Day 17.
Drakmar to Syangbochen. (3800m)
Cross another of the highest passes in the area you leaving the small villages and farm land. The top of the pass before Ghami offers an excellent view of the wide valley and snow capped mountains. Stop at Ghami for lunch then the trek continues onto Syangbochen.
Day 18.
Syangbochen to Chhusang. (2980m)
Follow the left side trail which leads deep inside the hilly gorge. On the way you will have time to explore Chhusi Cave formed high above the cliff. This area is the home of many species of wildlife like blue sheep, snow leopard and Himalayan Lammergeyer, the most beautiful vulture in the world and much more.
Day 19.
Chhusang to Jomsom. (2710m)
Now the trail enters the wide beach of Kali Gandaki river. Pass the Kagbeni village and onto Jomsom to catch next morning’s flight.
Day 20.
Fly to Pokhara.
This is an exiting and unforgettable flight over the Annapurna range. After landing at the beautiful Pokhara airstrip near the town you will check in to the hotel near to the lake.
Day 21.
Explore Pokhara.
Pokhara is a beautiful city, stroll around the lake and take a boat ride to enjoy and remember.
Day 22.
Scenic drive to Kathmandu.
Take a pleasant drive through the lush green foot hills back to Kathmandu alongside
the fast running waters of the Marshyangdi and Trisuli rivers. Check in to the hotel.
Day 23.
Kathmandu.
Free day, to stroll around the shops of the capital to purchase some last minute gifts. During the evening we invite you to join us for a farewell dinner and cultural show.
Day 24.
Kathmandu.
Trip concludes. We will escort you to the airport for your onward journey.
