Classic Nepalese Trek Around the Annapurna Massif

Overview

Starting and ending in Kathmandu, on arrival (usually early evening) you will have 2 nights with a full day for any last minute shopping, before the scenic drive to Pokhara. Spend the evening and one night in Pokhara prior to the trek commencing the next morning.
Walk the complete circuit around the Annapurna Massif. This classic trek takes you through lowland villages in the remote Manang region and the Kali Gandaki. Trekking north acclimatisation is in the inmportant trading village of Manang. This trek includes a many of the features people travel to Nepal for with it's spectacular mountain views including the Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri, temples, Nelai people, hill villages and the World's deepest Gorge the Kali Gandaki.
Cross a 5416 metre pass – probably the highest you will get without actually climbing a mountain after your acclimatisation and steady ascent.
At the end of the trek and another night in Pokhara before flying back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day and the next prior to your international departure flight will give you ample time for any sightseeing and last minute souvenir and gift shopping in Kathmandu.

Day 1.
On arrival at Kathmandu international airport you will be met from your flight and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu
Day 2.
Free day to explore the sights of Kathmandu and prepare for the start of the trek
Day 3.
Drive to Pokhara and chance for any last minute shopping prior the start of the trek
Day 4.
Besi Sahar – Bahundanda (6-7 hours)
Drive to and start the first leg of the Annapurna Sanctuary trek
Day 5.
Bahundanda – Chamje (5-6 hours)
Day 6.
Chamje – Bagarchhap (6-7 hours)
Day 7.
Bagarchhap – Chame (5-6 hours)
Day 8.
Chame – Pisang (4-5 hours)
Day 9.
Pisang – Manang (4-5 hours)
Day 10.
Acclimatisation day
Day 11.
Manang – Letdar (4-5 hours)
Day 12.
Letdar – Thorung High Camp (4-5 hours)
Day 13.
Thorung High Camp – Muktinath (6-7 hours)
Day 14 – 19.
Muktinath – Pokhara
Choice of descent routes back to Pokhara. Spend the night in Pokhara prior to your flight back to Kathmandu
Day 20.
Your last full day in Kathmandu is free for any last minute shopping and 'last supper' with your group
Day 21.
Transfer back to the airport for your onward flight
